Known Incident August 10, 2009

Due to inappropriate garden irrigation usage of the potable water line, an excess in demand vs. production resulted in water shortage to the lines that feed Las Olas VillasBrisas and Barqueta Nice.

The potable water line to the Las Olas Villas was temporarily shut to allow for the Barqueta Nice water system to recuperate. Please conserve water.

The civil engineering and electrical conection for the new well is being completed this week and an additional 60 GPM of good quality water should available within the next 14 days.

A large leak was found in the water line in front of a water meter to a home in Barqueta Nice and was repaired. Another leak was located and is being repaired now.

  3. So here it is 2 1/2 months later and we need an update. The wonderful water expert Roseanjela is for some reason no longer employed at this location. We have not been informed of a new contact or even that she is gone. Today the water was arriving extremely discolored. Phone calls go unaswered. Upon locating the hired hand for the water we discovered the lines are being flushed out. A little communication would go a long way. If residents could be informed of scheduled or emergency maint. we could easily valve off our water to our homes rather than suffer the consequences of contaminated feed lines and clogged filters systems. A truly avoidable expense with just a bit of common sense courtesy could solve 95% of all issues.
